Reasons I'm Infertile

I decided to make a page dedicated exclusively just to list how many things are wrong with me. I realized the other day (while explaining to my mother-in-law for the umpteenth time about why we're not likely to ever have a baby - IVF or not), that my problem list is so long it needs its own space.

How am I infertile? ...let me count the ways...

1. Endometriosis
1. Diagnosed Dec 2008 during exploratory laparoscopy
2. Second Laparoscopy Feb 2012 after two IVF cycles ramped up my pain
3. Why it makes me infertile - Endo creates a toxic environment. The eggs are bathed in toxic fluid before they ever make it to my tubes affecting their outer shell so sperm can't penetrate them
2. Plugged Surgically Removed Left Tube
1. Found during second lap Removed during emergency surgery for ectopic pregnancy.
2. Clogged by endo at the point where the tube meets the uterus - the opening is so narrow there that if the doctor tried to open it there would be scarring that would close it anyways
3. Why it makes me infertile - plugged tube means no sperm or eggs can get through. missing tube means nothing is going to come in on that side. Makes me wonder if my right tube is likely questionable as well.
3. High FSH/Low AMH
1.  FSH - highest level was 25.7 (At my age should be well below 10)
2. AMH - checked once and level was 0.33 (At my age should be 2+)
3. Why it makes me infertile - These hormones levels are believed to be indicative of ovarian reserve. BUT - my antral follicle count is still decent at 18 and my ovaries measure at a normal size. It seems these levels are more of an indicator for responding poorly to standard IVF treatment - which my body has proven.
4. Luteal Phase Defect
1. Short phase - usually 9-11 days
2. BBT chart shows my temps don't jump up very much during luteal phase
3. Why it makes me infertile - short luteal phases make for an inadequate environment for embryos to implant.
5. Cervical Stenosis
1. Discovered during my IUI's
2. Causes ridiculous amounts of pain when irritated and makes it nearly impossible for catheters to fit through. 
3. Why it makes me infertile - a tight, stiff cervix makes it difficult to pass catheters through for IUIs and embryo transfers. For natural conception, it makes it difficult for sperm to pass through. It can also cause the uterine lining to be retained in the uterus leading to infections, pus buildup, and can further contribute to endometriosis.
6. Progesterone Rises Early
1. My progesterone level rises before I ovulate
2. Currently no medical treatment is available to prevent the early rise
3. Why it makes me infertile - when progesterone levels rise too early in your cycle, it makes the receptivity of your uterus out of synch for when the embryo is supposed to be implanting.
7. Borderline Hypothyroid
1. My TSH level is 3.85 and free T4 is .81. I'm also somewhat symptomatic so this puts me in a sub-clinicnal hypothyroid category. 
2. I'm currently taking synthroid to bring my TSH level down.
3. Why it makes me infertile - there are vary opinions, but the general belief by some medical professionals is that a TSH level over 2.5 can impact a person's ability to get and stay pregnant. Some studies show that a TSH level under 5 should be fine, but it won't hurt me to take synthroid, so my doctor thought it was worth trying.
